Performance (pick up, handling etc.) of electric cars is better than their gas counterparts.

EV's - The Future of Personal Transportation
In the last few years Electric Vehicles have become more prevalent on the roads.  The Blue Ridge EV Club is part of that movement to make EV's mainstream, where the question will become not "why do you drive an electric car", but "why do you still drive a gas car?"
